Some examples of our work are:
Strategy and culture change: International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)
We supported IPPF in the development of its global organisational strategy for 2016-2022. Following this work, we worked with a number of cross-functional and geographical teams to support the development of business plans around a number of key strategic priorities. This resulted in a culture of greater accountability for strategy implementation.
Design of a remote management development programme: Plan International
During the height of the COVID pandemic, we designed a global management development programme for Plan International, which was designed to address weaknesses identified in management practice, while promoting Plan International’s feminist leadership principles. The blended learning programme included asynchronous self-directed learning modules, remote workshops, small group reflection sessions.
Aligning management culture to values: Norwegian Refugee Council
Alex and a colleague worked with approx. 200 people managers in a large country programme to establish a management culture which demonstrated creative conflict management, positive problem solving and engaging and empowering teams. They built a high level of feedback and self-reflection into the programme to enable participants to learn from their lived experience, in a fast paced and reactive work environment. As a result of the leadership development there has been a reduction in staff complaints and team conflict issues being brought to the HR team and a significant number of national managers are now in senior management positions in the wider organisation.
Campaign strategy: Modern slavery
Beverley supported a new coalition of organisations concerned with modern slavery to develop a shared strategy and joint ways of working. This led to a successful campaign for a law, requiring companies operating in the UK to report on what they are doing to address modern slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains.
